I have found that Ohio, has a website with all of the court documents for each case. I have posted a link to the court, clerk, and case number for Hudson Presbyterian Church. To see the documents directly:

• click the the CLERK link
• click "Records Search" buried in the header of the page
• click accept the terms
• click civil
• click search by Court case number
• then enter the court case number: CV-2006-09-6162
• click on "Dockets" at top of screen, to see ALL of the documents.

What is in a Name?

I sent an email to Christian Post, asking them to not use the phrase "Dissident Presbyterians" when referring to those trying to leave the PCUSA.

I explained that it was a matter of perspective who is the dissident. We who want to leave, believe the leaders are the dissidents. The leadership is the one who is attempting to force change in the denomination without the permission of the local churches. As an example, the chastity clause, passed by 70%-30%.

Today I notice they have changed the title of recent articles by replacing dissident with conservative. A friend of mine pointed out that a better "label" would be moderate, as we are the majority (70%) and not a fringe minority that some associate with "conservative".

PCUSA or Else!

Heartland Presbytery has voted an Administration Commision with unprecedented powers. Either the AC or the Council can declare any church to be in schism and remove the pastors, session, take over the property of any church under their jurisdiction. The supporters say this is in response to pastors out of control and using "illegal" means to leave the denomination. Detractors says this is suppressing dialog, and in violation of the Book of Order. Leaving the denomination is an option called for in the BOO, so how can using this option be "illegal?" I agree with others that this is too similar to the House Committee on Un-American Activities (HUAC or HCUA) (1938–1975)!
