The Empire Strikes First!

Layman Online is reporting on Whitewater Valley Presbytery (64 Churches/20,000 members) vote scheduled for June 4 on a recommendation for two Administrative Commissions. The recommendations sound overpowering, possessive and threatening! This report makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up! From the recommendations:

• "The COM sincerely hopes that no other churches will seek separation."
• If a session, pastor or congregation "moves toward expressing a desire” to leave, the AC can immediately hire a lawyer and start separating the sheep from the goats.
